About StopLegalHarassment.com

StopLegalHarassment.com is an independent public-interest journalism and legal-education publication. Its mission is to investigate, document, and explain the misuse of civil legal procedures, including Tennessee’s Abusive Civil Actions Act, the common-law tort of abuse of process, court sanctions, anti-SLAPP protections, and related harassment laws.

We report on legislation, public court records, official proceedings, appellate opinions, disciplinary processes, and the experiences of affected communities. Our purpose is to help readers understand how legal systems can be used both to protect rights and, at times, to impose improper pressure or cost. We seek accountability without presuming guilt, liability, misconduct, or bad faith before an authorized decision-maker has made such a finding.

We are independent of the parties and lawyers we cover. We do not use this publication to litigate the publisher’s personal disputes, pursue private grievances, threaten participants, or influence a pending matter through harassment. Any unavoidable personal, professional, political, or financial conflict is disclosed prominently.

Our reporting is educational and journalistic. It is not legal advice, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer about a particular situation.
